What the site is
CalcEngines publishes calculators, converters and reference material. It is a reference and educational tool, not a professional service. Using it does not create any professional, advisory or clinical relationship between you and CalcEngines.
The limits that apply to each subject area — medical, financial, electrical, mechanical, simulation and unit conversion — are set out in the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms. Please read it. It is not boilerplate; it describes real limitations of what a calculator can do.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We work hard on accuracy — the method is described on how we verify — but we do not warrant that any result is correct, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that it is free of errors. Verify anything that matters against an independent source before acting on it.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether a method suits your situation, for the values you enter, and for anything you do with the result. A calculator cannot see your context and cannot tell when a value was entered in the wrong unit.
Where a decision carries professional, financial, legal or safety consequences, take advice from a qualified person in the relevant field.
Acceptable use
You may use the site freely for your own work, study and reference, including commercial work. You may not:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site, or use automated means to extract its content, beyond ordinary search-engine indexing;
- republish substantial parts of the content as your own, or build a competing calculator database from it;
- attempt to interfere with the site’s operation or security, or to gain unauthorised access to any part of it;
- remove or obscure any attribution, disclaimer or source citation;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.
Intellectual property
The text, page design, explanations, worked examples, software and the arrangement of the site are owned by CalcEngines and protected by copyright.
Formulas, physical laws and mathematical methods are not ours and we claim no rights in them. Our copyright covers the way they are explained, implemented and presented, not the underlying mathematics — which belongs to everyone.
Standards, datasheets and publications cited on the site remain the property of their publishers. Where a standard is cited, we cite the clause and compute what is computable; we do not reproduce the standard’s tables, and you should obtain the standard itself from its publisher if you need it.
Trade marks and product names belong to their owners and are used for identification only. Use of a name does not imply any endorsement in either direction.

Links and advertising
We link to standards bodies, manufacturers and reference sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
The site carries advertising served by third parties. Advertising has no influence on the formulas, sources or conclusions on any page. An advert is not an endorsement by CalcEngines, and we are not party to any dealing between you and an advertiser.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalcEngines and its operator are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, cost or claim — direct or indirect, including loss of profit, data or goodwill — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may change the site, or these terms, at any time. The date at the top shows when these terms were last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
