Pregnancy Due Date & Gestational Age

Estimating the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) establishes the timeline for fetal development benchmarks, prenatal screening tests, and delivery planning.

This advanced calculator allows you to calculate using Last Period (LMP), Conception Date, or a known Due Date. It also provides a customized schedule for key clinical appointments like the Nuchal Translucency and Anomaly scans.

Clinical Context

Pregnancy is medically dated from the first day of the Last Menstrual Period (LMP), assuming a 28-day cycle. Conception typically occurs ~14 days later.

  • LMP Method: Adds 280 days (40 weeks) to the LMP date. Best for regular cycles.
  • Conception Method: Adds 266 days (38 weeks) to the date of conception. Best for IVF or known ovulation.
  • Scan Confirmation: An ultrasound between 8-14 weeks is the gold standard for confirming dates.

How to Use

1

Select Method

Choose LMP if you have regular periods. Choose Conception for IVF dates. Choose Due Date to reverse-calculate progress.

2

Enter Details

Select the relevant date. If using LMP, adjust the Cycle Length if yours differs from the standard 28 days.

3

Review Timeline

Check the Scan Schedule to know when to book critical appointments.
