Pregnancy Due Date & Gestational Age
Estimating the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) establishes the timeline for fetal development benchmarks, prenatal screening tests, and delivery planning.
This advanced calculator allows you to calculate using Last Period (LMP), Conception Date, or a known Due Date. It also provides a customized schedule for key clinical appointments like the Nuchal Translucency and Anomaly scans.
Clinical Context
Pregnancy is medically dated from the first day of the Last Menstrual Period (LMP), assuming a 28-day cycle. Conception typically occurs ~14 days later.
- LMP Method: Adds 280 days (40 weeks) to the LMP date. Best for regular cycles.
- Conception Method: Adds 266 days (38 weeks) to the date of conception. Best for IVF or known ovulation.
- Scan Confirmation: An ultrasound between 8-14 weeks is the gold standard for confirming dates.
