Frequency Response (Bode Plot)
Understanding the Physics
[Image of Bode plot phase shift]Cutoff (-3dB Point)
The frequency where output power is halved. Voltage is 70.7% of input.
Bode Plot
A logarithmic graph showing Gain (dB) vs Frequency. Visualizes how the filter shapes the signal.
Phase Shift
Filters delay signals. At fc, RC filters cause a 45° shift.
How to Use
1
Select Topology
Choose Low Pass, High Pass, or Band Pass from the configuration menu to set the circuit type.
2
Input Components
Enter your Resistance (R) and Capacitance (C). For Band Pass filters, also provide the Inductance (L).
3
Analyze Results
Observe the calculated Cutoff Frequency and use the interactive Bode Plot to visualize signal attenuation.
